HERMISTON -- Amy Palmer of Prosser was named the finance director for the city of Hermiston.

Palmer is replacing former director Bob Irby who retired in July.

She has more than 20 years of experience in public sector accounting, including work for the cities of Sunnyside and Tacoma.
