BENTON CITY -- Fire crews battled a blaze Wednesday night at a four-plex in Benton City.
The fire was reported at 7:36 p.m. and the first firefighters on scene reported seeing flames shooting through the roof of the building at 717 Eighth St., according to initial reports.
Firefighters from Benton fire districts 1, 2, 3 and 4 were called out to assist. Hanford fire crews also were called to standby at Benton City's fire station.
Additional details about the fire were not immediately available, but initial reports indicated everyone was able to get out safely.
Benton PUD crews were called to shut off power to the four-plex, which is in the block behind City Hall.
Fire officials said the fire was under control around 8:15 p.m.
