SCOTT and TERI LYBBERT, Kennewick
The funeral service for my niece's 3-year-old daughter, Clara Woodward, was held Monday in Pasco. Clara's parents, Natasha and Brian Woodward, spoke messages of peace and comfort that inspired all who attended the service. Their messages reflected the exemplary manner with which they and their young family faced this difficult trial.
My family expresses our heartfelt appreciation to all their dear friends who provided a meal for the more than 100 family members who attended the service. The room was decorated and the food prepared and presented in a way that called to mind all the parties, celebrations and wedding receptions that Clara and her family would not be able to enjoy together in this life.
Rather than cause sadness, it engendered joyful feelings by celebrating Clara's short life, for her family's perspective is eternal. What a thoughtful and beautiful expression of love.
