A free presentation on how to teach about the Middle East and Islam will be available at Tri-Tech Skills Center in Kennewick on Tuesday.

Barbara Petzen, a Rhodes Scholar who has studied at Oxford and Harvard, will cover a variety of topics, including definitions of the Middle East, differences between sects of Islam and other aspects of Muslim culture.

The course is aimed at educators and people working in educational settings but it is open to the public. It will be in the Multipurpose Room and run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
