A contractor will begin expansion joint repair work Monday on Richland's eastbound Keene Road bridge over Interstate 182.

The work will take about two weeks, according to a city news release. One eastbound lane will be closed most of the time.

At the end of the repairs, both eastbound lanes will close for 16 to 20 hours so crews can pour and cure a rubber expansion joint across the width of the bridge, the news release said.

Traffic will detour around Duportail onto Queensgate, with reader boards alerting drivers, the city said.
