MOSES LAKE -- Registration now is open for the Building Soils for Better Crops conference for farmers, crop consultants, landscape professionals, gardeners and others interested in crop or plant production.
The conference will be Nov. 27-28 at Big Bend Community College, 7662 Chanute Street N.E., Moses Lake.
Speakers include: Michelle Wander, a soil organic matter expert from the University of Illinois; Harold Van Es, a social scientist from Cornell University; Ken Moore, an agronomist from Iowa State University; soil scientist Alan Franzleubbers; and farmers Brendon Rockey and Gail Fuller.
