Tri-City law enforcement officers are helping wait on tables at Olive Garden tonightto raise money so kids in the area can have some Christmas fun.
The Tip-A-Cop event starts at 6 p.m. at the Kennewick Olive Garden. Officers will be filling water glasses and helping servers, while collecting extra tips for the Fraternal Order of Police's "Cops for Kids" program.
The program, also commonly known as "Shop with a Cop," gives 30 specially selected kids a chance to go shopping and have breakfast with a law enforcement officer.
The kids will get a $100 gift card from Walmart to use while they go around the store picking Christmas gifts for their family members.
