KAHLOTUS, Wash. -- If you are planning to cross the lower Snake River on Veterans Day weekend, plan ahead for closed dam crossings, warns the Army Corps of Engineers.

Because Veterans Day falls on a Sunday this year, most federal facilities will be closed Monday.

Lower Granite Dam near Pomeroy will be open for crossing from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Veterans Day and Monday.

However, Lower Monumental Dam near Kahlotus and Little Goose Dam near Starbuck will be closed both days.
