Apple Cup to be televised Nov. 23 on FOX

Published: November 7, 2012

If you don’t want to drive to Pullman the day after Thanksgiving to see the Apple Cup in person, you will be able to watch the Washington-Washington State showdown on television.

The Pac-12 Conference announced Wednes-day that FOX will air the Nov. 23 game, scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff at Martin Stadium.

Washington coach Steve Sarkisian will be on the sideline for his fourth Apple Cup, facing series newcomer Mike Leach. Sarkisian has a 3-0 record against Washington State, including a 30-0 rout in 2009 at Husky Stadium.

The Huskies won 35-28 in 2010 in Pullman, then returned to Seattle the next year for a 38-21 victory.

The 2011 Apple Cup at CenturyLink Field was Paul Wulff’s final game as WSU’s coach. He was fired after going 9-40 in four seasons.
