KENNEWICK -- The group Bikes-for-Books, a reading incentive program sponsored by the Kennewick Masons, is staging a pancake breakfast Saturday at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar in Kennewick.

Price per person is $7.

Money raised will be used to buy bicycles for Kennewick elementary schools and libraries.

The bicycle program has been helping to improve literacy rates in Kennewick schools for several years and recently was recognized by the Children's Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia as its Literacy Champion for 2012.

The Kennewick Masons will be serving the breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at 606 N. Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick.
