1979: Columbia Basin College linebacker Tom Haberman and Kennewick High cross country runner Brad Webber were named this week's Columbia Basin Sportswriters and Broadcasters athletes of the week. Haberman blocked a field goal and a point-after-touchdown kick to help preserve the Hawks' 13-12 win over Spokane. Webber tied the Franklin Park course record at the district championships meet in Spokane.
