AARP offers free driver classes for veterans, families

The AARP Driver Safety Program classes during November will be free to veterans, spouses of veterans and descendants of veterans.

Classes cost $12 for AARP members, $14 others and run eight hours over two days. All attendees will be eligible for a reduction in their auto insurance.

There are five classes to choose from this month. Participants must bring their driver's license.

-- Nov. 7-8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pasco Senior Center, 1315 W. Seventh, Pasco. To enroll, call 545-3459.

-- Nov. 8-9 and Nov. 15-16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kennewick Senior Center, 500 S. Auburn, Kennewick. To enroll, call 585-4303.

-- Nov. 12-13 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Charbonneau Retirement Inn, 8364 W. Grandridge Blvd., Kennewick. To enroll, call: 943-4979.

-- Nov. 14-15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Drive. To enroll, call 942-7529.

-- Nov. 27-28 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the West Richland Senior Center, 616 N. 60th Ave. To enroll, call 943-4979.
