A former Hanford Advisory Board member, Abe Greenberg, 76, died Sunday after wrecking his motorcycle in Prescott, Ariz., according to The Daily Courier.

Greenberg may have had a heart attack, resulting in the accident, said Jim Watts of the Tri-Cities, a friend of Greenberg.

Greenberg served on the Hanford Advisory Board, representing the city of Kennewick, in the late '90s and the early '00s, according to Herald files.

He was a retired manager for Hanford contractors, including Fluor Daniel Hanford, where he was project manager for the transfer of Hanford's 3000 and 1100 areas to the Port of Benton.

Watts said Greenberg was brought out of Poland during World War II by an uncle, but most of his family perished in Nazi gas chambers.
