PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Tri-City Americans started slowly during a WHL matchup at Portland's Memorial Coliseum, giving up three goals in the first 10 minutes in a 6-0 loss to the Winterhawks.

The margin of defeat was the Americans' biggest since suffering an 8-2 loss at Portland on Feb. 5 of last season.

Brendan Liepsic had two goals and an assist for the Hawks, while Ty Rattie notched four assists.

Ams goalie Eric Comrie was replaced by Brenden FeibelKorn after just 9 minutes, 14 seconds after giving up Portland's third goal.
