June and Bane Blankenship of Kennewick celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Oct. 11 with a private dinner in Kennewick.
They were married Oct. 11, 1947, at the Church of God in Milton-Freewater. They moved to the Mid-Columbia in 1947 from Milton-Freewater.
June was an Avon representative and a teacher of seniors at Columbia Community Church. She retired from Avon in 1991.
Bane was a carpenter for 20 years, an insurance salesman for five years and a Realtor until he retired in 1991. He also did volunteer labor on two churches.
They are members of Columbia Community Church in Richland.
They have four children, Terry of Richland, Rick of Kennewick, Greg of the Oregon Coast and Dixie of Richland.
They have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
