RICHLAND, Wash. — A 26-year-old Richland man was arrested after he allegedly taped his girlfriend to the passenger seat of a car, Richland police said.
Jeff C. Jelmberg and the woman were on their way home from a Halloween party when they started arguing.
Jelmberg's girlfriend told him she wanted to get out of the car, but he allegedly held her down and then drove to a location in Kennewick where he allegedly taped her to the passenger seat, police said.
He then drove her to their Richland home, where they continued to fight. Police were eventually called, officials said.
Jelmberg was arrested in connection with unlawful imprisonment and domestic violence.
The time of the incident was not included in the agency's news release, and the Herald was unable to reach Richland police by deadline.
