CHARLES ROBINSON, Prosser
On Nov. 6, we will vote for a president. We have been brainwashed to think that we have two choices, Republican or Democrat, and are resigned to vote for the "lesser of two evils." I have not seen the movie, 2016, but if President Obama's agenda for America is as told in the movie, his election would spell disaster for the United States as we know it.
Mitt Romney appears to have no clue what a president does. He would run the government like a business, relying on Paul Ryan's government expertise. That could be equally disastrous for the United States.
We recognize that our government is "of the people, by the people, and for the people," as stated by Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address. Not of the government, by the government, for the government. We do have a choice; we do not have to vote for a Republican or a Democrat, or the lesser of two evils.
I am voting for Libertarian Gary Johnson. His agenda is simple. Give the government back to the people. Am I throwing away my vote? Think about it. I am throwing it away only if I vote for one of two evils.
