AmeriCorps group needs volunteers for reading

BY THE TRI-CITY HERALDOctober 28, 2012

Regional Service Corps, a member program of AmeriCorps, is seeking volunteers for its Project Literacy program.

The program matches volunteers with Pasco children struggling with reading, with volunteers spending at least 30 minutes a week reading one-on-one with a child, according to a press release.

Volunteers do not need to live in Pasco or have special skills. Bilingual volunteers are in particular needed.
