Volleyball: Pasco ends Walla Walla's season in district tournament

Pasco 3, Walla Walla 1: Emma Gilmour was 21-of-23 serving with four aces, as the Bulldogs ended the visiting Blue Devils’ season Thursday in the first round of the Class 4A District 5 tournament.

Pasco—Sierra Linke 18 kills, 19 digs, 3 blocks, 11-of-14 serving, 1 ace; Lindsey Scott 4 kills, 8-of-10 serving; Athally Gonzalez 6 blocks, 4 digs; Corina Sullivan 5 digs, 19-of-19 serving, 2 aces; Emma Gilmour 13 digs, 21-of-23 serving, 4 aces; Marisol Diaz 27 digs, 20-of-23 serving, 5 aces; Cameron Estes 27 assists, 8 digs, 10-of-12 serving.

EPHRATA 3, OTHELLO 2: Amelia Roylance had 13 kills and Hayley Guse 10 for the Huskies, who pushed the Tigers to five sets before falling at home in their season finale.

Set scores: 25-20, 23-25, 25-21, 31-33, 15-11. Othello—Amelia Roylance 13 kills; Hayley Guse 10 kills.

Ellensburg 3, Prosser 1: Makayla Morrow had four kills and four blocks, but it wasn’t enough as the Mustangs dropped their final CWAC 2A match of the season.

Set scores: 25-12, 19-25, 27-25, 25-22. Prosser—Haylie Pederson 6 kills, 6 blocks; Makayla Morrow 4 kills, 4 blocks; Taylor Meirndorf 16 assists, 4 aces; Rachel Harle 20 digs.

Kiona-Benton 3, Royal 0: The Bears locked up the No. 4 seed to the Class 1A District 5/6 tournament next week with the road win.

Columbia (Burbank) 3, River View 0: Jamie Ellis had 20 assists and 10 digs as the host Coyotes ended the Panthers’ season.

Jorgan Andersen had two kills and was 6-of-6 serving for River View.

Tri-Cities Prep 3, LaCrosse-Washtucna 1: Maddie LeBrun had 19 digs to lead the Jaguars to a nonleague road victory.
