September 22, 2012 - Eric Comrie will mind the net this season for the Tri-City Americans, who open the season tonight at Toyota Center.

Americans goalie Eric Comrie was named to the Team WHL roster for next month’s Subway Super Series in British Columbia.

He is the sixth Americans player to be chosen for the Super Series, joining Brendan Shinnimin, Chet Pickard, Carey Price, Logan Stephenson and Shawn Belle.

Comrie leads the WHL this season in wins (9), shutouts (2) and minutes (850). He has a .925 save percentage and a goals against average of 2.26.

Team WHL will face Team Russia in the Super Series on Nov. 14 in Vancouver and Nov. 15 in Victoria.
