With the new league comes new postseason tournaments.

The Mid-Columbia Class 4A volleyball teams will play a district tournament, with the top two finishers advancing to a regional tournament with the Greater Spokane League.

The Class 3A teams will not play a district tournament, instead playing a two-week regional tournament with teams from Spokane.

The 4A tourney starts tonight as Pasco hosts Walla Walla at 7 p.m. in an elimination match. The winner faces Chiawana at 2 p.m. Saturday at Richland in another elimination match. The winner of that match plays Richland in the championship, with both teams advancing to the regional tournament.

The No. 1 seed also will host the regional tournament, pitting the top two teams from the GSL and the Mid-Col.

The 3A tournament starts Friday as Hanford hosts Sunnyside at 6 p.m. in an elimination match.

The winner of that match will travel to Spokane to face Mt. Spokane in an elimination match Saturday.

Other Saturday matches include: Southridge hosting the loser of Shadle Park and University, Kennewick playing at the winner of Shadle Park and University, and Kamiakin hosting Rogers.

All Saturday matches are elimination matches and will be played at 4 p.m.

Shadle Park and University play tonight.
