Richland police officers handcuff Daniel Gomez, 30, of Pasco, after he was arrested Tuesday afternoon at the River Park Apartments at 1878 Fowler St. Capt. Mike Cobb said officers waited for a search warrant before entering apartment #53 and apprehending Gomez, who had four felony warrants. Gomez refused to come out of the unit. The incident began earlier in the day during a traffic stop at Louisiana Avenue and SE Carson Street involving a stolen car from Pasco. Gabriel Reyes, 29, of Richland, was pulled over in the stolen Toyota, which he told police he borrowed from Gomez who was staying at his apartment. The theft of the car is still under investigation. Reyes was arrested on suspicion of driving the stolen car. BOB BRAWDY — Tri-City HeraldBuy Photo
