Information meeting tonight to be about Basin City levy

By the Tri-City HeraldOctober 16, 2012

Basin City residents can attend an open house tonight to find out more information about a property tax levy on the general election ballot.

Franklin Fire District 4 officials are hoping residents will approve the levy, which is expected to generate about $188,000 a year to support the fire service and enhance safety.

The open house is from 6 to 8 p.m. at the fire station, 6725 Road 170, in Basin City.

The levy would cost 70 cents per $1,000 of assessed value, or $70 for the owner of a $100,000 home.
