The Army Corps of Engineers is urging caution for boat operators because of an accumulation of sediment in the downstream navigation lock approach at Ice Harbor Dam near Burbank.
There could be less than the standard 14-foot draft available to boats, depending on the water level in Lake Wallula. That should not affect most recreational boats, but the rare recreational boat that rides with a keel 12 feet or more below the water should use extreme caution, according to the Corps.
