Hermiston Parks and Recreation plans an event today that features an evening of star gazing starting at 6:30 p.m. at Riverfront Park, 180 N.E. Second St., Hermiston.

The Tri-Cities Astronomy Club members will be on site with several telescopes for night sky viewing. Marshmallows will be provided for roasting over a fire and hot chocolate also will be available.

There is no admission fee.
