YVCC wine program offers fall wine class

GRANDVIEW -- The Yakima Valley Community College Vineyard & Winery Technology program plans a Food and Wine Pairing 101 class on the Grandview campus from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $25 per person.

The class will cover the basics of distinguishing and evaluating various wine flavors with food. Learn how acid, fat, protein, sweet, and salty foods enhance or change various components of wines.

The class is at 500 W. Main St., in Room U170. Register by calling 509-882-7015.
