A 2-year-old Richland boy climbed onto the seat of his tricycle, stood on his tiptoes and pulled down a spring door on a fire alarm box to trip the lever at Jadwin Avenue and Wilson Street.

Three engines and a ladder truck responded to the call. When they arrived the toddler was still holding on to the box, unable to get down. The firemen placed him on his tricycle and followed him home.
