WALLA WALLA -- Steven Garcia, 23, of Walla Walla was arrested by Walla Walla police officers at 3:45 a.m. Sunday after they were

notified of a domestic violence complaint in an apartment he shares with his girlfriend.

According to officers, Garcia is a well-known gang member

Responding officers found a female crying with injuries that included bruising on

her neck. The 21-year-old victim also had other signs of assault, police said.

Garcia is being held on a probable cause hold for second-degree assault, second-degree malicious mischief for property damage and for preventing a victim from reporting domestic violence.
