Rollover in Toppenish sends 2 to hospital

TOPPENISH -- A one-car rollover accident in Toppenish at 3:30 a.m. Sunday sent two people to Yakima Regional Medical Center, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Officers reported Ray W. Decoteau, 39, of Toppenish, was driving a silver 2010 Honda Insight southbound in the 700 block of Meyers Road when he crossed both lanes, drove onto the shoulder, hit a mailbox and rolled the car. The vehicle was totaled.

His passenger, Shiela Decoteau, 35, of Toppenish, also was injured. Both were in stable condition Sunday afternoon.

Ray was charged with driving under the influence.
