Glendine and Allen Boston

sGlendine and Allen Boston of Richland celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at a family reunion with their children and grandchildren at Boston Harbor near Olympia.

They were married Aug. 23, 1942, at the Christian Church of Logan, W.Va. After living in Morgantown, W.Va., they moved to Richland in 1944.

Glendine graduated from Marshall College and was an elementary school teacher at Jason Lee in Richland and retired from the Richland School District in 1982.

Allen graduated from West Virginia University as a chemical engineer and worked with DuPont and General Electric as a chemical processing manager and as a project engineer. He retired in 1980.

The couple have traveled extensively with their motorhome throughout the U.S., Canada and Alaska. Fishing, photography, watercolor art and tennis have been their main hobbies.

They are charter members of Central United Protestant Church of Richland. Glendine is a member of Chapter DT of PEO and Allen is a member of the Richland Kiwanis Club.

They have four children, Jeffrey and his wife, Michelle, of Richland; Janet Josephson of Olympia; Richard and his wife, Debbie, of Woodinville; and Martha of Enumclaw.

They have three grandchildren.
