Ruth and Chuck Ashley of Grandview celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 15 at their daughter and son-in-law's home in Grandview.

They were married on Sept. 30, 1952, at Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in Mobile, Ala. They moved to the Mid-Columbia in 1952.

Ruth owned and operated Ashley's Catering before retiring in 2000. She also worked in food service for the Grandview School District.

Chuck worked at Twin City Foods in Prosser before retiring from there in 1996.

They are members of the United Methodist Church.

They have two children, Mike (Greta) Ashley of Stanwood and Liz (Matt) Charvet of Grandview.

They have six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
