Tomato plants in the Mid-Columbia may be looking limp this morning if they were not covered overnight.
The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning for the Mid-Columbia, effective from midnight Wednesday through 9 a.m. Friday.
In the Tri-Cities, a low of 30 degrees was forecast for Wednesday night, dropping to 28 degrees tonight and 29 degrees Friday night. Temperatures should be coldest between 5 and 8 a.m., the weather service said.
Daytime temperatures also are cooling. The high today in the Tri-Cities is predicted to be about 66 degrees.
