By the Tri-City HeraldOctober 3, 2012

In the Richland's biggest win of the Mid-Columbia season, it was balance that propelled the Bombers to a 16-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-14 win over the host Chiawana Riverhawks on Tuesday night.

Liz Quick and Alisha Bettinson each had nine kills for Richland, with Bettinson also digging up 17 balls, and Macey Weitz and Rachel Connolly split 33 assists. But the Bombers also got key points from Grace Smith, Hailey Turner and Lauren Valone.

"We had really good balance," said Richland coach Bob Raidl, whose team came back from a lopsided first set to forge a tie atop the Mid-Columbia between the Bombers and Riverhawks at 7-2, with Southridge, Kamiakin and Kennewick a game back.
