The Hanford Federal building has removed 11,000 of the 50,000 inside light tubes. Pasco has turned off every other streetlight. The reason: The Pacific Northwest is short of meeting its winter needs by the amount of power Seattle homes and industries use in two years. Businesses are trying to conserve power now so we don't freeze this winter.
