William Dierlam, 25, Pasco, couldn't get his car started, so he decided to give his car a push with his truck, all by himself. He opened the throttle on the truck, jumped from its cab and ran to the car, figuring he would "brake" it down after starting it, thus stalling the truck.
It didn't work. The pickup slipped out from behind the car and headed for a row of parked cars, but stopped on its own. Dierlam hit a parked car with the one he was driving.
