Ella and George Allison of Pasco celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary Sept. 1 in Pasco.

They were married Sept. 1, 1944, in Yakima. They moved from Zillah to the Mid-Columbia in 1982.

Ella worked at Del Monte, Libby's and the Clover Island Quality Inn, from which she retired in 1992.

George worked at the Bangor Naval Submarine Base and retired from Pan Am in 2001.

They have five children: the late Larry Allison, Robert Allison of Seattle, Gerald Allison of Pasco, Carol Aliff of Yakima and Shelly Landry of Kennewick.

They have eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
