Hanford water treatment gets kudos from state

By the Tri-City HeraldSeptember 20, 2012

Mission Support Alliance has been recognized by the Washington State Department of Health for its outstanding performance and treatment optimization in the management of the central Hanford treatment plant for drinking water.

Mission Support Alliance's water utilities team received a Silver Certificate of Achievement for five years of performance. It was one of nine plants in the state to receive the award.

Mission Support Alliance, which provides utilities and other services for the Department of Energy at Hanford, treats and disperses an average of 86 million gallons of potable water each year for central Hanford. The remote location and hazardous conditions of the work there make dependable, potable water a necessity, the contractor said.
