Bobbie and Dick Bull

Bobbie and Dick Bull, of Richland, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 11 in Wallowa County, Ore.

They were married on Sept. 1, 1962, at the First Presbyterian Church in Omak. They moved to the Mid-Columbia in the summer of 1994.

Bobbie graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree and from Washington State University with a master's degree. She has worked in nursing with pediatric, public health and schools. She retired in the fall of 1995 from the Whitman County Health Department and Benton-Franklin Head Start.

Dick attended the College of Pharmacy at WSU and graduated from the UW College of Pharmacy, and received his graduate degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He was a toxicologist with the U.S. Public Health Service (Environmental Protection Agency) and worked at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory before becoming a private consultant.

They are members of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Richland.

They have four children, Greta Bull (Julian Davies) of Guildford, Surrey, United Kingdom, Erika (Bob) Visse of Woodinville, Marta Bull (Joe Pursley) of Seattle and Jeffrey Bull (Tania Perry) of Hillsboro, Ore.

They have eight grandchildren.
