Dr. R. R. Sachs, health officer for Richland said there were several steps, which parents and others responsible for the health of children could take to prevent the spread of polio.

If the children show symptoms of a cold, have a sore throat or are running a temperature, they should be given a rest and kept at home. The family doctor should be called.
