Wagner wins Paralympic gold

September 7, 2012

Former Walla Walla High School standout David Wagner did it again this week.

Wagner partnered with Nick Taylor of Wichita, Kan., to win the gold medal for quad doubles tennis at the Paralympics in London on Wednesday.

Wagner and Taylor combined to beat Great Britain’s Peter Norfolk and Andy Lapthorne 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 in the title match.

It’s the third straight time Wagner, who lives in the Portland area now, has won Paralympic gold in the event.
