CBC men split weekend soccer matches

The Columbia Basin College men’s soccer team wrapped up a two-game road trip, losing 5-3 to Pierce College in Puyallup a day after an impressive 2-0 road win at Chemeketa.

“In two days we learned that we can beat the best teams in the league, but when we’re not at our best, every team in the league can give us a run,” Hawks coach Kyle Vierck said. “It was a really imprortant lesson for us today.”

Jay Williams netted a hat trick for Pierce. Richard Renteria scored his second goal in as many days for CBC.
