Parents wanting to improve their parenting skills and develop stronger relationships with their children are invited to attend a video series.

The Drew Bledsoe Foundation's parenting program, Parenting With Dignity, is presenting the sessions at two locations in the Tri-Cities in September and October.

The eight-part program offers simple, effective parenting tools for children ages 1-18.

Organizers say parents and grandparents can learn how to raise children to be responsible, independent and goal-oriented; overcome today's culture of sex, drugs, violence and apathy; and become the best they can be in every aspect of their lives.

Participants also can learn to eliminate problems with discipline, build or repair parent/child relationships and have a household free of arguing and conflict.

The sessions are from 12:45 to 4:45 p.m. Saturdays from Sept. 29 to Oct. 13 at St. Joseph's School, in the SECU building, 901 W. Fourth Ave., Kennewick.

The first hour is free. The cost for the full program is $30.

To register, go to midcolumbiaparenting.org. For more information, call 845-2092.
