CBC men's soccer rolls in season opener at Starfire

TUKWILA -- Richard Renteria (Pasco) scored two goals and had an assist, and Jorge Campos (Othello) had a goal and an assist to lead the Columbia Basin College men's soccer team to a 5-0 victory in a season-opening friendly Tuesday against Everett at Starfire Soccer Complex in Tukwila.

"We're very happy to put a crooked number on the scoreboard and not to give up any goals," CBC coach Kyle Vierck said.

Antonio Gonzalez earned the shutout in goal for the Hawks.

* The CBC women beat Shoreline 2-1 in Tukwila on goals by Shallise Rodriguez and Pasco's McKenzie Finnicum.
