— Nine juveniles with a reported stolen truck have been arrested after alarming shoppers at the Kennewick Target store this morning.

About 10:30 a.m. today police received a report about a stolen teal colored Chevrolet pickup truck at Columbia Center Boulevard. A Richland police sergeant saw the truck as it pulled out of the Columbia Center mall parking lot near Barnes & Noble Bookseller , said Kennewick police Sgt. Ken Lattin.

The sergeant followed it, called in the license plate number and confirmed the truck was stolen from Franklin County.

The pickup pulled into the Target parking lot and its four male teen occupants ran into Target and scattered in the store, said Lattin.

Police officers went into Target to round up the suspects. As they were bringing them out of the store, five more juveniles arrived — four females and a male — and “started getting mouthy with officers,” Lattin said.

Officers discovered they were in the bed of the stolen pickup and arrested all nine on suspicion of stolen property, Lattin said.
