Imam Mohamed Elsehmawy addresses about 500 people who gathered at the Islamic Center of the Tri-Cities in West Richland on Sunday to celebrate Eid, a holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, which is the Muslim holy month of fasting. Elsehmawy is the first full-time imam at the mosque and encouraged people to stop being divided by their home countries, and to instead embrace each other as fellow Muslims. Prayers were followed by a meal and play time for kids including bounce houses, a clown, pony rides and a fire engine demonstration by Benton First District 4.
