WSU men's basketball will play in Kennewick

July 26, 2012

— The Washington State men’s basketball team will face Idaho State on Dec. 29 at the Toyota Center, returing to the Tri-Cities for a regular season game for the first time since 2009.

Three years ago, the Cougars hosted Portland State in Kennewick.

The rest of WSU’s schedule looks to be significantly more difficult, as the Cougars will play 16 games against 2012 postseason participants, including facing national runnerup Kansas.

WSU will play eight of its 13 nonconference games at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman this season, including the opener against Eastern Washingtonon Nov. 10 as part of the College Basketball Experience Hall of Fame Classic.

The Cougars will host Gonzaga on Dec. 5, and will face Buffalo on Dec. 21 at Key Arena in Seattle as part of the Cougar Hardwood Classic.
