The Senior American Legion super regionals get under way today, including the four-team affair at Bomber Field in Richland hosted by the Twin City Titans.
But no one, not even Titans manager Pete Marquez, seems to know who is coming to town.
As of late Friday night, Marquez said he still had not heard with whom his team was sharing a bracket, not even in Twin Citys opener at 7 p.m. The opening game is slated for 4 p.m. The losers play at 1 p.m. Sunday, the winners at 4 p.m. in the championship and then a final game at 7 p.m. to determine the second berth to the state tourney that starts next Saturday at Carlon Park in Selah.
Sundays games originally were scheduled to begin three hours earlier. But Marquez said Legion organizers made the games uniform at all four venues.
While Twin City is hosting its tournament, the Kennewick Bandits are playing at Colfax in a 10 a.m. opener. The Hanford Flames are at Centralia, playing in a 4 p.m. game.
