Whidbey pro leads Rosauers, Combs tied for 8th

— PGA pro David Phay of Whidbey G&CC backed up his first round 62 with 64 strokes on Saturday to take the lead with 16-under par 126 at the 25th Rosauers Open Invitational at Indian Canyon GC.

Lynnwood's Ryan Benzel also shot a 64 to trail the Whidbey by three strokes (129) while Spokane's Corey Prugh (64-66) and Kalispell's Ryan Porch (65-65) are tied for third at 130.

Canyon Lakes' Michael Combs has a two-round total 10 under par 132 (69-63) and enters today's final round in a 2-way tie at eighth place.

The final round begins 7 a.m. today.
