Gloria and Gilbert Jones celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 9 at Paradise Falls Chapel in Las Vegas with a surprise renewal ceremony with their children and grandchildren present.
They were married June 1, 1962, in Grande Prairie, Alberta. They have lived in the Mid-Columbia for 48 years.
Gilbert and Gloria owned Major Petroleum Service Co. from 1966 until their retirement in 2010.
They are members of First United Methodist Church in Kennewick and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2485 in Kennewick. Gilbert also is a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Pasco and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Kennewick.
They have two children, Patsy Osborn and Bryan Jones, both of Kennewick.
They have four grandchildren.
