Wandola and Charles Benson of Kennewick celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 9 with a gathering of family and friends.

They were married on June 9, 1962, at the Church of God in Pasco.

Wandola is a homemaker.

Charles worked at Hanford for 10 years and then became an electrician and worked for Bonneville Power for 26 years before retiring in January 1996.

They have three children, Cynthia Benson of Kennewick; Malisa Tims of Kennewick; and Mark Benson of Pasco.

They have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
